Profile access should follow the person who owns the business and the staff who currently maintain it. Shared passwords and abandoned agency access make correction difficult. When a team changes, inventory roles, transfer any required ownership and remove access only after continuity is secured.

How to make the decision
Use a handover register with account holder, role, business relationship, invitation date and removal date. Keep at least one accountable business owner. Google says managers can edit much of the profile but cannot add or remove users, and a new owner or manager may face a short waiting period for some actions. Schedule the handover around those limits.
Worked example
Illustrative UAE retailer changes agencies. The business owner invites the new agency as a manager, checks that it can update hours and respond to reviews, then reviews pending edits. Only after that does the owner remove the previous agency. A former employee who was primary owner requires a separate transfer plan; deleting their access prematurely could strand the profile.

Do not ask staff to share Google passwords. Access changes are security-sensitive and should be made by an authorized owner.
