Local FAQs are valuable when they answer questions that real customers ask about a specific location or service. Copying the same generic questions onto every city page adds little value. Collect the question, verify the answer with the branch and publish only where the difference matters.
Decision framework
| Step | Practical check |
|---|---|
| Collect questions | Use customer service notes, calls and sales conversations with personal details removed. |
| Verify locally | Ask the branch owner to confirm hours, access, stock, service limits and booking rules. |
| Map the answer | Choose a location page, service page or help article according to where the user needs it. |
| Maintain | Set a trigger for updates when the underlying operation changes. |
How to make the decision
Keep a question register: anonymized wording, source type, branch, answer owner, source date and page destination. Two branches may have the same broad service but different parking, appointment rules or delivery coverage. Answer these differences in natural language. Do not invent reviews or claim a question was asked if it is a planning example.
Worked example
Fictional two-branch repair business: Dubai branch accepts walk-ins and has paid parking; Sharjah branch is appointment-only and offers pickup. The question Can I visit without booking belongs on each location page with a different verified answer. A general warranty question belongs in one shared help article if the policy is identical. The page map prevents duplicated boilerplate.
What can change the answer
An FAQ markup label is not a promise of a rich result. The visible answer must be accurate and useful even if search engines show no special presentation.
Review checklist
- Is the question supported by a real or explicitly fictional source?
- Did the branch owner approve the operational answer?
- Is the page destination the place a customer would expect?
Common question
Should every location have the same FAQ section?
Only where the answers are genuinely the same and useful. Distinct local facts should be checked and stated per location.
Next useful step
Check the profile service list when a question concerns a specific offer: Using Business Profile Services Without Keyword Stuffing. For help applying this to a UAE business, see Megvi’s local SEO service. Bring the source records and the decision you need to make.
