Facebook or Instagram clicks without sales are a diagnosis, not a reason to change every campaign setting at once. Start by checking whether the clicks reached a usable store, whether purchases happened but were measured badly, and whether the offer matched the ad. The order of checks matters because creative changes cannot repair a broken checkout.
Separate the four possible gaps
| Gap | Question | First evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery | Are the ads reaching the intended area and people? | Placement, location, frequency and spend by ad |
| Message | Does the ad set the same expectation as the landing page? | Creative, offer, product, price and delivery promise |
| Store | Can a mobile visitor find stock and complete checkout? | Phone walkthrough and test order |
| Measurement | Did a real purchase appear once in the reporting path? | Store order, Pixel/CAPI diagnostics and analytics |
This sequence is a recommended diagnostic, not a benchmark for a particular account. A high click count alone does not reveal which gap is present. Compare landing-page visits and useful on-site actions with ad clicks, but remember browsers, consent choices, and reporting windows can produce differences.
Walk through one customer path
Take the ad that is spending the most. On a phone, tap through to the exact destination. Check whether the pictured item, price, availability, and shipping promise are visible. Select a variant, add it to cart, and reach the payment step in the business’s intended UAE delivery area. If a test order is possible, confirm the order email and final total. Record each failure with a screenshot and owner. The customer journey guide provides a friction log, and the launch checklist covers the full handover path.
Illustrative case: A gift retailer advertises a red gift box with “UAE delivery.” The link opens a generic homepage, the red variant is unavailable, and delivery areas appear only after the buyer enters payment details. The first fix is the product path and accurate offer; changing audiences cannot make that path usable. This is a scenario, not a claim about a Megvi client.
Check purchase signals before judging the campaign
Match a confirmed store order to the browser and server events where applicable. Confirm value and currency, and check whether two event paths produced a duplicate. The separate Meta Pixel and Conversions API guide gives a controlled purchase test. Megvi’s published Flower Center case documents troubleshooting across Meta Pixel/CAPI, Google Ads tags, GA4 events, and UTMs before campaign changes. It does not establish a universal conversion uplift from a particular fix.
Change one thing and log it
Once the store and measurement path work, review the promise in the creative, audience fit, and landing-page intent. Change one meaningful variable at a time and record the date. Compare confirmed purchases and margin alongside platform-attributed results; the ROI calculator can model break-even economics but cannot forecast the campaign. For channel selection before a test, read the Google versus Meta guide.
For an account and store-path review, discuss Meta Ads with Megvi and bring the ad, landing-page URL, recent order count, and event diagnostics.
